On a rainy day bright colours from Erin Templeton’s leather accessories reflect on the sidewalk, a couple walks past the Jack Chow Insurance Building on West Pender Street in Vancouver’s Chinatown. It is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world's shallowest commercial building. Measuring just 4 feet 11 inches wide on the ground floor, it was built in 1913 after the city took most of the owner's lot to widen the street.
