North Vancouver artist Michael Brouillet creates high definition paintings that often feature scenes of urban life. Most scenes include a moment in time, bright colours and shapes of these unique locations people visit in these neighbourhoods. Scenes of neighbourhoods that reflect better times gone by, people outside at cafes, going about their everyday activities, there is essence of urban life in the scene. In this series many unique hangouts are featured. Restaurants and local coffee houses are the backdrop and are usually housed in unique or vintage buildings, often have unique signs, graffiti or murals.
