Historic Chinatown
Vancouver’s Chinatown is a National Historic Site of Canada. It is a distinct neighbourhood on the east side of the downtown core. It was designated as a National Historic Site of Canada has aspects of Chinese regional architecture with western styles. It is one of the oldest and largest Chinatowns in the country. Its physical fabric, and its ongoing uses reflect the many contributions and struggles of Chinese Canadians throughout most of their history in this country. Chinatown is a welcoming environment, that supports local businesses, revitalization program to modernize the neighbourhood, and celebrate its historical and significance of the city.
